FAQs

Concierge medicine is medicine the way that it used to be! No busy waiting room. No rushed visits. No long waits for appointments. And home-visits built directly into the membership packages. It’s personalized care with on-the-spot decision making. Patients are encouraged to text Dr. Viglione with questions/concerns for immediate guidance. It’s a limited membership, proactive practice that affords greater time and attention to each patient, without the bureaucracy and hassles most often attributed to the classic model of medicine.

True multi-dimensional care in an ultra-limited platform; we cap our program at ¼ that of the average concierge practice to provide extraordinary attention and dedication to each patient. Our services are fully mobile in urgent situations, or if patients simply prefer the simplicity, and discretion, of home-based medicine.

We offer 2 packages to best match our patient’s needs, and the monthly fee includes all specified services.  No other co-pays or fees apply as we aim for simplicity.  Our Gold package includes unlimited office visits and priority MD access, whereas higher packages preferentially incorporate home-based care with additional perks and concierge services.

We do not take insurance. For non-covered services we gladly submit superbills on patient’s behalf for commercial insurance reimbursement. Importantly, patients can still use insurance for all prescriptions, referrals, imaging, hospitalizations & ER visits, medical equipment etc.

The same applies, but all patients with Medicare must sign a “private contract” with Montecito Concierge Medicine to affirm that neither party will bill Medicare. Superbills cannot be submitted on the patient’s behalf as part of this contract. Please contact us for a full list of covered services. As above, patients can still utilize Medicare for all prescription fulfillment, referrals, imaging, hospitalizations & ER visits, medical equipment etc.

Unfortunately, we’ve moved away from seasonal packages because of the unique nature of internal medicine, which necessitates continuity. Primary care is fundamentally different from urgent care, and Dr. Viglione excels at long-term relationship building. For patients with multiple residencies, we’re promptly available via virtual visits, and we readily coordinate care wherever patients may be.

We provide fee-for-service home or hotel visits only. Currently, annual wellness exams, televisits, and office visits are featured services for our Concierge members.

Home visit requests can be sent through the website or made by simply calling the office. We offer fee for service home visits for non-members that start at $400 for an MD evaluation, with services/procedures or after-hours rates additional. Contact us for a full pricing list. We offer blood draws, EKG, strep test, urinalysis, COVID-19 rapid or PCR testing, IV hydration & vitamin therapy, suturing with basic wound care, orthopedic joint injections, abscess I&D, intramuscular therapeutics, ear lavage, and more.

Dr. Viglione will oversee every aspect of your hospitalization in conjunction with our dedicated hospitalist team at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital or Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital. If you are out of town or have a primary residence outside of SB County, Dr. Viglione will virtually coordinate daily care with your local hospital team.

Currently, we provide home based care only within the greater SB area. Additional fees apply for distances outside of this territory.

Call us at (805) 892-6500 to schedule a Meet & Greet! The on-boarding process is quick and easy, but we first require a Meet & Greet with Dr. Viglione to align goals and expectations. If it’s a good fit, we schedule a detailed intake to establish care.
