Jo is a true Santa Barbara local—born and raised here, with deep roots and an extended family that’s almost entirely from the area.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from Antioch University before spending 17 years with American Airlines. After gaining experience in concierge medicine part-time, Jo took a bold leap of faith and joined DrV at the very beginning—when the practice had just two patients and one very hormonal border collie puppy.
Since then, Jo has become the true backbone of MCM. Her remarkable efficiency and genuine heart of gold keep everything running smoothly in a busy practice with hundreds of moving pieces.
Jo is a proud mother of two daughters. Her oldest is currently pursuing a degree in Nursing at Westmont College, while her youngest @ age 3 already shows early signs of following the same path—particularly with her stethoscope fascination.
Outside of work, Jo enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, tide pooling at the beach, snowboarding, and—yes—tidying up DrV’s protein crumbs scattered across the office. Fun fact: Jo finds cleaning and organizing genuinely relaxing.
