Practice Update: MontecitoMD Health Intelligence

One of the quiet frustrations of modern primary care is that we can design elegant, personalized wellness plans, and then watch the spinning plates of real-life make consistent follow-through difficult. Devising the plan is the easy part. Implementation is the hard part.

That is the problem MontecitoMD Health Intelligence is being built to solve. Expected to launch in the 4th quarter of 2026, this HIPAA-compliant MCM app is designed to organize your health data, link it to both a DrV-trained AI engine and the electronic medical record, and deliver real-time analytics as plans are created and updated over time.

I see three practical advantages:

Patient-controlled, high-context data.

When the AI has access to the full longitudinal record rather than a generic query, the quality of the insight jumps dramatically. A mountain of relevant data produces a better answer than an isolated prompt into a general model.

Real-time synthesis of complex information.

The engine will pull from my MD notes, years of lab trends, and the algorithmic approach of my brain. We’ll have the ability to detect subtle patterns that are easy to miss in a busy clinic day. With internal medicine becoming extraordinarily more complex, it’s not good enough to draw conclusions from limited contextual information.

Engagement and accountability.

Monthly or quarterly goals drawn from the wellness review can live in the app with simple check-boxes. Incomplete items can flag the team so we can reach out before small drifts become larger ones. The endless spinning plates of primary care become a little more organized.

The goal is not to replace the patient-MD relationship; it is to give both of us a clearer, more actionable view of the data so the relationship can focus on what matters most. I’m excited to bring this into the practice and will share more details as the launch approaches!
